After 3 years of taking this drug my symptoms went away. I started to eat better and I have not felt worse. My doctors gave me 5 mg of Diflucan for yeast infections in two days. I feel better so I have not had the side effects of any other medication. My doctor told me that if I took this drug for a long time I would get a high fever and need to go to the bathroom. I have not had side effects from this drug.

I have been taking this for years. I have never been ill. I was very sick with yeast and my husband is a healthy 20 year old and I have been on the lowest dose of this drug that I could find. My doctor gave me the highest dosage that he could find. I am so grateful that I am not alone. I will never take this drug again. I hope I don't stop taking it. I have tried a few different antibiotics before, and I still have no results. I will never be able to stop taking this drug. It's going to cost me money. I would not pay out of pocket. I have been in the hospital for a few months now and I could not even afford to go back to the doctor's office for a refill. I don't want to have to go back to the doctor again. My husband and I need this drug again.

Condition: Yeast Infection that caused severe kidney damage

I started taking this drug about a month ago. I have been feeling great, no side effects. I am a diabetic and have been on the highest dosage that I could find. I am in the process of making a diagnosis and I am so happy that I have not had the side effects I have been experiencing.

Fluconazole (Diflucan) for Women

Fluconazole (Diflucan) is used to treat certain fungal infections caused by the fungi Candida, Cryptococcal, and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is also sometimes used to prevent the development of invasive candidiasis. Fluconazole works by stopping the growth of Candida and by preventing the production of neutrophils and macrophages.

Fluconazole is available as a single dose tablet and as a suspension. It is usually taken twice daily, with or without food. The dosage is based on your individual needs and response. Some medical conditions may require dosage adjustments.

Fluconazole is usually taken for the first week of your menstrual cycle. The next period of treatment may be scheduled within 2 weeks of each other, depending on the severity of the infection. If you miss a dose of the fluconazole, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is close to the time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

If you miss your scheduled dose, do not take double doses. Follow the instructions on your prescription label carefully. Do not take double doses to make up for a missed dose.
